EWI of Richmond Literacy Event

EWI of Richmond is partnering with the Children’s Museum of Richmond Central Virginia Children’s Book Bank.  Our goal is to collect 300 books for the February 2018 meeting that will be hosted by the Children’s Museum of Richmond, Broad Street location.  This will be a hands on event to label and sort the books.  Spread the news to your friends, colleagues and coworkers.  Use the below flyers by adding your collection information and post at your firm or send with emails to friends and family.

The Central Virginia Children’s Book Bank provides free books directly to children in Central Virginia who cannot afford or do not have access to books.  They collect new and “gently used” books for ages 0-13.  By providing opportunities for children to read and be read to, the Book Bank is an important tool in improving school readiness for prekindergarten-aged children and enhancing literacy in school aged children.
